Thin Mint Imposters {Recipe}

Homemade Thin Mints
Girl Scout cookies are available by the truck load right now, but what will you do when all those little scout's wagons have run dry, and there is not a thin mint to be found? You'll make these super fast and super easy "Thin Mints."

I whipped up a batch of 30 for Nash's yearbook committee. I literally only had about 15 minutes to make them, including the time it took to let them set and snap these photos! Since they were for a bunch of 8th graders who always act like vultures every time I bring them food, I wasn't too concerned with making them beautiful. I did make a bunch more and bagged them for the sweet girls in the office at Chloe's school. I love taking them treats. I got this idea from my friend Kat, who said she got it from Martha, you know, Martha Stewart. But...I've looked around on the web for them and never seen them.
Your Ingredients:
Directions:
Melt, dip, set, decorate!
I melt my melting candy in the microwave, stirring every 15 or 20 seconds. It usually takes about a minute or so to completely melt. Then dip your crackers. I've tried lots of tools to dip, the best one...my fingers, shhhh.
Lay them on a wax covered cookie sheet and allow them to set in the fridge for about 5 or 10 minutes.
These are the epitome of good things simple :-) and you can make them all year. Just swap out that heart for a green tree or a shamrock.

I so want to try this. How simple sounding! But I'm afraid I'll eat them all.

mmmmm, I love thin mints and I DO miss them during the rest of the year. The "off" season for girl scout selling, if you will. Why not make them ourselves? Great idea.

Hi Lil-

Yummy - I haven't had any Girl Scouts knocking on my door this year. My guess is too much snow. I love Thin Mints and am going to make some of these for my sisters. Good things simple is right.
My best- Diane
