1. I love taking pictures of street signs. However, since I lost the camera from our big 2 week NYC, NJ, and DC trip this summer, I don't have those :(. Here's an example of one I took from Charleston...
2. I always get postcards from everywhere we go. This trip I almost forgot until hubby reminded me. I thought that was so sweet of him! If I have time I will write out events of our trip and mail it to myself from that city. If I don't find the time I will journal onto the postcards when I get home. I try and get the kids to write them too!
3. Lastly, I always try to pick up a Christmas ornament. You'd be surprised at how available they are. Even in the summer I was able to find them. Usually you can find them with the name of the city and sometimes even the year.
What are some of your travel traditions or ways you chronicle your trip besides photos? Do you save airline tickets, receipts, menus, or tourist attraction ticket stubs? Yep, I'm guilty too!

These are all fun traditions -- love the street signs. I used to, when we went to National Parks, grab one of those embroidered patches. I always had the idea to put them in a frame or on a big pillow. Alas, they are in my drawer. Joni
I love the street sign photo! The postcards are great too! For bigger trips, I keep a journal, but I love the images that go along with your postcard journaling! As a kid I used to collect charms for a bracelet, but now I'm more into street art...paintings, jewelry, whatever...as long as its local!
I love the photo. We used to travel when I was young. My kids are in sports so we only travel to games but when we do go out of town... I make sure to check out yarn shops! I am a new follower... please come follow me!

I love the street sign photo idea. That is very clever.
Taking photos wherever we go keeps the sweet memories saved & secure! Lovely habbit Lilian!
